Hello and Welcome to Body Scanning.
Body Scanning was founded by Wendy Calver, a qualified nurse (Registered in 1981, so with nearly 40 years’ experience) to provide a wider availability for medical thermography.
She has previously worked as a Registered Nurse in medical, cancer and cardiac wards, intensive care and brain injury units. Wendy was introduced to thermography by a couple of friends who had undergone breast and full body scans. They were enthusiastic about this pain-free and non-invasive process, that has no side-effects. Looking into it further, she was impressed by the benefits that this completely safe, non-invasive imaging could have, particularly as there is no radiation or injections involved.
As a result, Wendy eventually trained as a clinical thermographer, under a very respected expert in the field of thermology, qualifying in 2017. Thereafter she started her own thermography practice, which has been growing steadily over the years. In addition to her hospital nursing experience, Wendy also worked as a Practice Nurse for many years, so she has lots of experience with all types of patients.
In November 2019, on her visit to the University of San Antonio, Texas, Wendy was recognised by The American College of Clinical Thermology for her outstanding performance and contributions to Clinical Thermology in Women’s Health.
Over the years, Body Scanning has grown, but especially this year (2021) as many people are realising the far-reaching benefits of thermography; it can see potential problems happening at a cellular level. Wendy has always supported health screening and because this an excellent preventive screening tool, it is the safest way forward for early detection of disease and health conditions, giving you more options to look after your health. And we all know that prevention is better than cure!
Body Scanning Ltd invested in a brand new camera a few years ago, which is extremely sensitive and is also used in surgery and research; we always want the best for our clients.
We are also excited to say that not only do we have lovely people coming from all over the UK coming to see us, but we also have clients coming from abroad now!
