Thermal Body Scanning
Breast Scan
With all her experience as a Registered Nurse, Wendy has had many years of dealing with the concerns and fears of women who have found lumps in their breasts or under their arms. She truly understands the emotions surrounding the word ‘cancer’ but a thermogram is an ideal way to help establish a clear diagnosis, whether it be a formation of a cancer lump or a cyst.
Thermal imaging is non-invasive, safe and has no side effects whatsoever. A thermal scan can monitor breast physiology and can monitor changes when carried out regularly.
This breast scanning service is suitable for women of all ages. It gives the opportunity for women to check their breast health and detect any potential abnormalities at an early stage. It can be used by women of all shapes and sizes – small breasted women, large breasted women, women with breast implants, women with fibrocystic breast tissue, women with ‘dense’ breast tissue and women who have had mastectomies.
Breast cancer in men is rare, but on the rise. Take a look at this link which explains it https://www.thelondonbreastclinic.com/breastpatientinfo/breast-cancer-in-men/
Women’s Health Check Scan
All women can benefit from the Women’s Health Check Scan. This quick and easy test is more advanced and more specific than any other women’s health thermography screening.
This is an opportunity to detect changes earlier than possible through self-examination, doctor examination and diagnostic testing and is more comprehensive than breast screening alone.
Weighted for analysis and specific to female symptoms that may relate to thyroid dysfunction, genito-urinary dysfunction or oestrogen dominance. The programme has been designed with a special grading system attached to the scan to assess oestrogen dominance. The images are part of a graded analysis including breast, female reproductive organs, thyroid, endocrine, visceral and autonomic status to provide a holistic view of overall health and future risk levels, which can be used as part of a preventative health programme.
Long term exposure to oestrogen in the environment has been identified as a significant risk factor for the development of cancer. This oestrogenic activity can be associated with breast pain, lumps and/or increased risk in cancer. This health check addresses all age-related challenges as well as evaluation and special grading system of the head/neck, breast/chest and abdomen. It looks for findings that may indicated vascular, lymphatic and breast health dysfunction, autonomic/autoimmune dysfunction and endocrine/adrenal system dysfunction.
Oestrogen is required for day to day functioning of the body, otherwise we can end up with the following conditions:
- Breast swelling or tenderness
- Fibrocystic breasts
- Hair loss
- Fibroids
- Decreased sex drive
- Abnormal periods
- Infertility
- Bloating
- Headaches
- Sluggish metabolism
- Change in bowel movements
- Insulin resistance
- Thyroid dysfunction
- Breast Cancer
- High blood pressure
- Endometriosis
- Foggy thinking
- Poor memory
- Fatigue
- Sleep disturbances
- Cold hands and feet
- Mood swings- anxiety/depression/pms
- Weight gain (mostly hips, abdomen, thighs)
- Stress
Could I be oestrogen dominant?
This is what Body Scanning’s new Women’s Health Scan will find out for you. The areas covered are from the head to the pelvic region and includes thermographic imaging of the head, neck (including carotid arteries and thyroid), breast, abdomen, cervical spine, upper (thoracic) back, lower back (lumbar-sacral areas); no arms or hands included in this scan.
Elevated levels of oestrogen are a risk factor for breast disease and studies have shown this. Hormone levels can be measured by laboratory tests and give very valuable information. This is done by blood, urine or saliva tests and the hormonal balance of the whole body is looked at. However, these tests are not accurate due to the fact that breasts produce oestrogen locally, whereas saliva doesn’t and blood tests will miss normally fatty tissue in the breast.
Thermography can see the level of oestrogen in your breasts; it is helpful as both a detection and monitoring tool. So, if a woman is found to have a higher than usual oestrogen hormone level, then she can work with a Health Professional to reduce the oestrogen dominance. This can be monitored by a further thermogram to see if the oestrogen reduction has worked.
This scan does not look at organs in great detail. If you have a particular concern, please choose an upper body or full body scan.
Upper Body Scan

As with a full body scan, the upper body scan can be performed annually. It evaluates everything from your head to the pelvic region and includes thermographic imaging of the head, neck (including carotid arteries and thyroid), chest, breast, abdomen, cervical spine, upper (thoracic) back, lower back (lumbar-sacral areas). So all of the vital organs, spine and key vascular areas are studied; legs, knees and feet are not included as in full body scan, but everything else is the same (please see below what sort of potential problems can be found; but this list is not exhaustive).
This scan does not look at oestrogen dominance like the Women’s Health Check.
Full Body Scan
A Full Body Scan can be performed annually, as it evaluates everything from your head to your feet – the head, neck (including carotid arteries and thyroid gland), chest, breast, abdomen, cervical spine, upper (thoracic) back, lower back (lumbar-sacral regions), arms, hands, legs, knees, and feet.
Why have a Full Body Scan? Thermal imaging has been shown, through medical research, to be effective in identifying issues affecting your body, such as:
- metabolic and nervous system disorders
- identifying the root cause of headaches, and neck and back problems, as well as immune dysregulation and pain syndromes (e.g. fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune etc.);
- vascular disorders (e.g. Raynaud’s syndrome), arthritis; muscle strain as well as soft tissue injuries and repetitive strain injury (RSI)
- colon problems
- low grade or acute infections
- carotid artery problems
- lymphatic congestion
- breast concerns
- and more!
Indeed, any injury or condition for which there is an alteration in the blood flow or circulation potentially can be detected – including diabetes, osteoarthritis, melanoma and even post-surgical issues or dental infections.
Thermal imaging can even identify where there may be a risk of a stroke by looking closely at the carotid arteries.
Many people have a Full Body Scan for peace of mind.
Single Region Scan
Medical Thermography can equally focus on a particular area of the body associated with a specific injury or problem, wide-ranging discomfort, pain and stress. A single region of head, neck, chest, abdomen, spine, arms, legs or feet.
Arthritis Study – single region as listed above.
Cardiac Study – imaging of head, neck and chest.
Dental Study – imaging of the head and neck.
Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome(RSD)/ chronic reflex pain syndrome. This is a disorder that causes lasting pain, usually in an arm or leg, and it can arrive after an injury, stroke, or even a heart attack. The severity of pain is typically worse than the original injury itself and the pain does not go away. With thermal imaging, all sympathetic pain syndromes are easily detected and can be done with a Single Region study.
